According to the reporter's records at 6 p.m., many people and tourists came to enjoy many dishes made from crab. Mr. Le Hoang, a resident of Xuan Hoa ward, said that he initially only planned to visit but was surprised by the number of people coming to the festival.
“Even when there was a traffic jam, many people still chose to visit the festival instead of going home. This shows the great attraction of the event,” said Mr. Hoang.

According to Mr. Hoang, after experiencing many dishes, he hopes the festival will add more activities typical of Ca Mau such as displaying the production process of specialties, or folk games such as crab racing and fast crab tying.
"These activities will help visitors better understand the culture and specialties of Ca Mau," Mr. Hoang shared.
Similarly, Ms. Mai Thanh, a resident of Saigon Ward, said she learned about the event through a friend. After work, despite the rain, she still came to enjoy the food. “I am not from Ca Mau but I really like specialties like Ca Mau crab or dried shrimp. However, the crab dishes at the festival are not rich. Hopefully next time, the organizers will introduce more dishes so that diners have more choices,” Ms. Thanh said.

According to the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, the Ca Mau Crab Food Festival 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City is arranged into four main spaces: OCOP product display area such as shrimp, crab, fish; crab food processing area; culinary and commercial area; space for amateur music and cultural exchange.

Mr. Huynh Chi Nguyen, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, said that this year's festival is organized on a larger scale, not only focusing on crabs but also expanding to many other seafood and OCOP products.
“The festival does not choose too many dishes, but each night there will be a culinary performance with 4-5 chefs and professional comments. The province hopes that the series of events will expand connections, attract businesses to invest in tourism, trade, industry, energy and logistics, contributing to promoting sustainable growth," said Mr. Nguyen.
