(QBĐT) - On the evening of June 15, the Department of Culture and Sports coordinated with the Embassy of India in Hanoi to organize the 2nd International Yoga Day event in Quang Binh. Attending were representatives of the Embassy of India in Hanoi, leaders of departments, agencies, and more than 400 yoga instructors and students in the area.
Yoga is an ancient practice that originated in India about 5,000 years ago. Yoga is a combination of mind and body, physical practice and spiritual practice, muscle flexibility and mental strength.
Practicing yoga every day will bring many health benefits to the practitioner. On December 11, 2014, the United Nations General Assembly declared June 21 every year as International Yoga Day.
In recent years, the yoga movement in Quang Binh province has been increasingly spread, popularized and widely developed. The number of clubs has increased, attracting more and more students to practice to improve their health and spiritual life.
The program featured a popular yoga protocol performance with the participation of more than 400 trainers and students, and a yoga flow performance to the music Heal the world.
The event to celebrate the 2nd International Yoga Day in 2024 held in Quang Binh with the theme "Yoga - Empowering Women" is an opportunity for Yoga lovers in the whole province to exchange, learn, and spread the spirit of physical exercise in general and yoga practice in particular.
Through this event, we aim to continue promoting propaganda and raising public awareness of the benefits of yoga practice and health training; create a vibrant atmosphere in the physical training movement; and contribute to creating a deep cultural and human connection between Vietnam and India.
