Dong Nai proposes to apply many electricity saving measures

According to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, due to the impact of the El Nino phenomenon, hot weather and drought have caused serious water shortages in hydroelectric reservoirs. This situation is forecast to continue until the end of the dry season in 2023, greatly affecting the country's electricity supply.

In order to ensure safe and stable electricity supply during the peak of hot weather (from May 19 to June 30), the Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee requested units to promote electricity saving, and at the same time propagate for people and businesses to respond in consensus.

Save electricity by taking specific measures such as: adjusting the air conditioner to 26 degrees Celsius or higher, turning on the air conditioner 60 minutes late and turning it off 60 minutes earlier than working hours; turning off or reducing 50% of the lighting system in corridors, parking lots, campuses, and public areas; stopping 50% of the elevators. Encourage the use of stairs when moving between nearby floors; make the most of natural light, turn off electrical equipment when not in use.
