To create momentum for Dong Nai to develop commensurate with the centrally-run cities, contributing to the overall development of the country and the Southeast region in particular, Dong Nai province proposed that the Government consider and submit to the National Assembly for permission to develop a Resolution on a number of specific mechanisms similar to those of the localities: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Da Nang, Hai Phong,...

Investment attraction continued to improve, reaching over VND64 trillion (of which 65 new projects were granted with a total registered capital of over VND56.8 trillion). Foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction reached 1.8 billion USD (of which 109 new projects were granted with a registered capital of over USD834 million), continuing to affirm Dong Nai as an attractive destination for international investors.
However, the estimated local budget expenditure level allocated by the Government to Dong Nai province in 2025 is relatively low. For 2 consecutive years, Binh Phuoc province (before the rearrangement) and 3 consecutive years, Dong Nai province (before the rearrangement) had to receive additional expenditure levels, without increasing budget expenditure. Meanwhile, the province had to balance many policies and regimes issued by the Central Government and the Provincial People's Council, causing a large increase in budget expenditure. Balancing the budget right from the beginning of the year is very difficult.
