On June 6, the Market Management Department of Dong Nai province has just made a record of temporarily confiscating 1.2 tons of chicken meat of unknown origin after inspecting the chicken business of Mr. CVL (32 years old, residing in Bien Hoa city).
Accordingly, on June 4, Market Management Team No. 1 and No. 2 (Dong Nai Province Market Management Department) coordinated with Dong Nai Department of Livestock and Fisheries to inspect Mr. CVL's business household in Tan Phong Ward, Bien Hoa City. Mr. L. has been trading in salted chicken for many years.

At the time of inspection, the facility was trading in whole frozen chicken weighing 1.35 tons. This quantity of goods was imported from a business in Hanoi , with full invoices and documents proving the origin.
During the inspection, the authorities also discovered 800kg of fresh whole chicken (listed price 39,000 VND/kg) and 400kg of salted finished chicken (listed price 65,000 VND/kg) without invoices or documents proving their origin. The total value of 1.2 tons of goods according to the listed price at the facility was 57.2 million VND.
The Dong Nai Province interdisciplinary inspection team has drawn up a record of temporary detention and sealing of 1.2 tons of fresh whole chickens and finished chickens of unknown origin. At the same time, samples of 4 whole chickens and 5 finished chickens were taken for testing to determine further handling.
