Dong Nai requires infrastructure companies not to hinder businesses from developing solar power systems.

Reporting at the meeting, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Thai Thanh Phong said that from the end of 2024 to now, the province has had 44 newly installed systems that have been notified or granted registration certificates by the Department of Industry and Trade but have not met the conditions for being put into operation because they have not completed a number of legal procedures under the responsibility of the electricity business unit in the industrial park. This affects the industrial production index, investment environment, and the province's double-digit development target.

Recently, the Department of Industry and Trade has received feedback from a number of businesses facing difficulties in developing rooftop solar power. There are two basic groups of problems raised: the power unit does not implement or does not properly implement the content of the agreement and consensus on connection points and investment boundaries; the power unit does not coordinate in the acceptance of the on-site monitoring and control system and the connection of information with the collection, monitoring and control system of the distribution dispatch level according to regulations.

At the meeting, investors of rooftop solar power systems and infrastructure companies discussed difficulties and problems, and proposed solutions for the coming time.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung said that Dong Nai is focusing on supporting export enterprises to ensure the completion of the double-digit economic growth target in 2025. This includes supporting enterprises to develop rooftop solar power sources with the goals of increasing exports, increasing renewable energy, and ensuring energy security.

The Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Industry and Trade to preside over the Dong Nai Industrial Park Management Board, infrastructure business companies and related units to work to remove bottlenecks in the agreement, agree on connection points, investment boundaries; develop a process for developing solar power systems so that related units can implement. Be responsible for managing, monitoring, guiding and post-inspecting organizations and individuals implementing rooftop solar power development.

Infrastructure companies accompany the policy of developing green energy and renewable energy; do not hinder, create favorable conditions for organizations and individuals to develop rooftop solar power according to the law; monitor and inspect the development of self-produced and self-consumed rooftop solar power in the management area. There is better cooperation with secondary investors for the common benefit, limiting petitions that go beyond the level.
