Dong Thap: Speeding up site clearance for power transmission projects

(DTO) On the afternoon of August 15, Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Dieu and leaders of departments and branches had a working session with the National Power Transmission Corporation on the implementation of power transmission projects in Dong Thap province.

According to the National Power Transmission Corporation, the unit is currently focusing resources and speeding up the implementation of key projects in Dong Thap province, including: Hong Ngu - Chau Doc 220kV transmission line; Lap Vo 220kV transformer station and connecting lines; Hong Ngu 220kV transformer station; Tan Phuoc 220kV transformer station (Cai Be) and connecting lines.

Specifically, the Hong Ngu - Chau Doc 220kV transmission line project started on August 5, 2025, the contractor is coordinating to complete the construction plan and mobilize compensation; currently, there are still some households that have not agreed to hand over the site at 4 locations, the units are coordinating to mobilize households for compensation.

The Lap Vo 220kV transformer station and connecting lines have completed the foundation casting at 28 locations. However, 6 affected households have not yet received money and handed over the land; specific land prices have not been issued to apply prices and establish compensation plans for 12 households. The Tan Phuoc 220kV transformer station project is implementing steps to carry out site clearance.

The National Power Transmission Corporation proposed that Dong Thap province direct relevant units to support the company in speeding up site clearance work and promptly resolving difficulties and problems during the implementation process.

Also at the meeting, the Land Fund Development Center (Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dong Thap province) and the localities where the project passes through reported on the progress of site clearance work as well as the next plan in the coming time.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Nguyen Thanh Dieu highly agreed and supported the implementation of power transmission projects through the area. Regarding difficulties in the implementation process, the National Power Transmission Corporation coordinated with departments and branches of Dong Thap province to remove and speed up the site clearance progress.

For the commune-level authorities where the project passes through, continue to speed up the progress of site clearance and soon hand over the cleared site to the investor for construction implementation...
