Due to the influence of cold air , the weather in the North and North Central regions is cold. The lowest temperature is 16-18 degrees, in mountainous areas 12-14 degrees, and in high mountainous areas below 10 degrees.

Experts say this is the coldest spell since the beginning of the season.

Since last night and today, the monsoon has been pouring in, causing temperatures in the northern provinces to drop sharply. People on the streets of Hanoi have had to huddle in warm clothes and gradually adapt.

According to forecast, from tomorrow, the North and Thanh Hoa will likely see an increase in temperature, about 2-3 degrees, sunny in the afternoon; cold at night and in the morning until the end of the month with the lowest temperature in Hanoi about 17 degrees.

In the area from Nghe An to Khanh Hoa, there will still be rain due to the cold air, especially in the area from Ha Tinh to Thua Thien Hue and from Binh Dinh to Khanh Hoa tonight and tomorrow morning, there will be localized heavy rain and thunderstorms.

In Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern provinces, the past few days have been cloudy, with light winds and cool weather in the early morning, but by noon the sun is stronger and the temperature has increased, making it feel quite stuffy.

Mr. Le Dinh Quyet - Head of the Forecasting Department of the Southern Hydrometeorological Station said that this cold air mass is strong but the mainland of the Southern region is not affected much, the temperature only drops slightly, cool at night and morning. The cold air mainly only makes the wind over the sea strong.

According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, in the next 1-2 days, cold air will continue to strengthen and diffuse to the South. Northeast winds in the sea area east of the South will operate with strong intensity.

In the following days, the area will continue to be weakly affected by the southern edge of cold air and diffuse slightly to the South until around November 29 when it weakens.

Therefore, the weather in Ho Chi Minh City from now until November 29 will decrease slightly by 1-2 degrees both day and night, in which the highest temperature is 32 degrees, the lowest at night is 23 degrees, the weather is cooler.

In addition, Mr. Quyet also added that from around November 10-12, most of the Southern region will have ended the rainy season; Ho Chi Minh City from November 7-12; and Kien Giang province in particular, from November 22-23.

However, according to Mr. Quyet, during the dry season there are still unseasonal rains, note that the rain comes quickly and does not last long.
