Contest "Excellent Propagandist of Community Communication Team" in Truong Ha commune in 2025.
The highlight of Project 8 is the synchronous participation of local authorities, Women's Unions at all levels and grassroots forces. Many existing problems such as women not being able to participate in deciding family issues, girls having to leave school early, or domestic violence have been gradually addressed fundamentally. People's awareness of gender equality has been significantly raised; the quality of life of women and girls has been increasingly improved.
In 2025, the Provincial Women's Union organized training sessions on gender equality monitoring and evaluation with the participation of over 470 delegates, contributing to improving the capacity to implement and monitor gender equality policies at the grassroots level; organized 13 mock media trials on "Prevention and control of school violence" in localities, attracting more than 2,870 delegates and secondary school students, thereby helping to spread the message of building a safe, non-violent school environment. The Union at all levels organized 133 communication sessions on gender equality, eliminating prejudices and gender stereotypes with the participation of 7,784 people, helping to change the awareness and behavior of people, especially women and men of ethnic minorities, about the role and position of women in the family and society.
Not only changing awareness, Project 8 also supports ethnic minority women to access resources for economic development. Many small livelihood models have been formed, such as: growing medicinal plants, raising livestock, weaving brocade, raising bees for honey.... Thanks to that, the income of many families has improved significantly. The Provincial Women's Union organized a workshop to enhance the effectiveness of trusted addresses, community communication teams; workshops on digital transformation, applying information technology in Union activities, contributing to helping Union officials and women in the highlands access new knowledge, adapt to the development of modern society. From products grown and produced, through technology, women have sold products to consumers in and outside the province, improving the quality of life.
Since the beginning of the year, the Provincial Women's Union has organized 30 policy dialogues at the commune level, creating a forum for ethnic minority women to boldly express their wishes and make recommendations on practical local issues. Currently, in the context of increasing human trafficking crimes, especially in cyberspace with fraudulent tricks such as job brokerage "easy jobs with high salaries", many people have fallen into the trap of bad guys. Faced with this situation, the Provincial Women's Union at all levels has increased the use of technology and social networks to innovate and improve the quality and effectiveness of propaganda and dissemination of legal education on preventing human trafficking in many forms such as dramatization or seminars and dialogues to provide more knowledge on preventing human trafficking to the people. In 2025, the Provincial Women's Union organized 9 "Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking" communication sessions at market fairs in 9 communes with the participation of more than 1,400 people. Ms. Ban Thi Huong, Na Chan hamlet, Tam Kim commune said: I, like the people here, have limited access to information. Watching the skit "There is no easy job with high salary" gives me more knowledge to protect myself and my family, especially girls from 16 to 18 years old who are often victims of human trafficking. They will learn many tricks to know how to avoid falling into the traps of bad guys.
To synchronously deploy activities within the framework of the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas, the community propaganda team continues to play a key role. This is the force that directly brings policies and guidelines to the people in a close, easy-to-understand and effective way.

In 2025, the Women's Union at all levels in the area organized the "Excellent Propaganda - Community Communication Team" contest at the commune level. The contest is not only a useful playground but also an opportunity for propagandists to exchange, learn and share practical experiences. Through the contest, each propagandist has the opportunity to determine the direction of training, improve skills, improve professional qualifications, thereby finding more effective communication methods in communication activities at the grassroots level. This is also a way to contribute to bringing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and the Union's Resolutions into life in a practical way.
In parallel, the Provincial Women's Union also organized exchange and experience sharing sessions between Community Communication Teams in many communes in the area. These thematic sessions help propagandists gain more knowledge, skills and experience in handling real-life situations, improving the quality of communication work on gender equality, domestic violence prevention, child care and many other contents related to the lives of women in ethnic minority areas.
Thanks to these practical and synchronous activities, the community propaganda force is increasingly strengthened, becoming an important "bridge" to help policies enter life, creating positive changes in the awareness and behavior of people in highland villages and hamlets.
Ms. Doan Thi Le An, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union emphasized: In the coming time, the Provincial Women's Union will continue to organize capacity building classes for Women's Unions at all levels and members of established club models to promote the attention of all levels, sectors, and local authorities to the issue of gender equality and the activities of Project 8 and maintain the activities of club models and community communication teams that were established in phase 1 and in which encourage the active participation of people, especially the participation of men in communication activities, thereby making it easier to raise awareness and promote gender equality in the locality.
Thanks to its practical activities, Project 8 not only raises awareness, promotes gender equality and reduces gender-based violence, but also positively impacts the social life of ethnic minority people, contributing to building a safe, civilized, united and sustainably developed community.
