SACCR project supports agricultural materials for people in Ea H'leo district

During two days (August 3-4), the SACCR Project Management Board provided agricultural materials to people in Ea H'leo district.

Ea H'leo district has Ea Drang town, Ea Sol commune and Dliê Yang commune in the project area, with 98 households receiving support, including 48 poor households and 50 near-poor households. Households received support with agricultural materials, including: fertilizer, lime, Trichoderma fungus, with a value of 5 million VND/household.

The project "Enhancing the resilience of small-scale agriculture to water security due to climate change in the Central Highlands and South Central regions" (abbreviated as the SACCR Project) is funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and will be implemented in the province from 2022 to 2026.

The beneficiaries of the project as approved by UNDP are 5,838 households, including poor and near-poor households, ethnic minority households, households with women as the breadwinners in the family and with a cultivated area of less than 1 hectare.

In addition, the project also implemented many other support activities, such as: organizing training courses, building 12 models, learning points for farmers on farming adapted to climate change conditions; building and upgrading 260 small-scale ponds... All activities were implemented by the Project Management Board in a public, democratic, transparent manner and ensured supervision by the people and local authorities of communes and towns during the implementation process.

The SACCR project was implemented from July 31 to August 9, 2023 in 4 districts (Ea Kar, Ea H'leo, Krong Pac, Cu M'gar), with 588 households receiving support.
