Lao Cai Hydrometeorological Station warns: Thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind can affect agricultural production, cause trees to fall, damage houses, traffic works and infrastructure. Local heavy rain increases the risk of landslides and rockslides in areas with steep terrain, positive slopes and flooding in low-lying areas along small rivers and streams.
