Currently, teachers in Ho Chi Minh City are grading the 10th grade exam in 2025. Mr. Ho Tan Minh, Chief of Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, said that after the grading period, on June 18, a review will be organized to compare the test results with the results on the computer. On June 21, the results will be synchronized to the industry database system.

The 10th grade exam scores in Ho Chi Minh City will be announced from June 23 to 26. This year, the 10th grade benchmark scores in Ho Chi Minh City will also be announced very early, at the same time as the exam scores are announced, from June 23 to 26. Unlike previous years, the benchmark scores are usually announced about 1 month after the exam scores are announced.

For many years now, many schools in Ho Chi Minh City have had very low 10th grade benchmark scores, just over 3 points/subject to pass. It is predicted that there will be about 20 public high schools in Ho Chi Minh City with low 10th grade benchmark scores in 2025 such as: Duong Van Duong High School, An Nhon Tay High School, Quang Trung High School, An Nghia High School, Can Thanh High School, Binh Khanh High School, Da Phuoc High School, Phong Phu High School, Binh Chanh High School, Dao Son Tay High School, Nguyen Van Tang High School, Long Truong High School, Nguyen Thi Dinh High School for Gifted Students in Sports, Nguyen Van Linh High School, Luong Van Can High School, Nguyen Huu Trang High School, Nguyen Trai High School for Gifted Students in Sports.

Grade 10 HCMC

This year, 76,435 students in Ho Chi Minh City registered for the 10th grade exam in 2025. Candidates for public 10th grade exams will take the Literature and Math exams in 120 minutes, and English in 90 minutes. Candidates applying to Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted and Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted will take an additional 150-minute specialized exam. Candidates wishing to enter the integrated English grade 10 exam will take the integrated exam in 150 minutes. The quota for public schools in Ho Chi Minh City this year is 70,070. Thus, just over 6,000 candidates were eliminated.

Admission score is Math + Literature + English + priority (if any). For specialized schools, admission score is: Math + Literature + English + (specialized subject x 2) + priority score if any.

The test score is calculated on a scale of 0 to 10, with a score of 0.25. The maximum bonus points for priority beneficiaries is 3 points. Successful candidates must take all 3 tests and not receive a score of 0 in any test.

Based on the enrollment quota of each school, the number of applications for each choice and the admission scores, the standard scores will follow the principle that choice 2 is higher than choice 1 and choice 3 is higher than choice 2.

Students' admission will be based on their 3 registered wishes. Schools are only allowed to accept students admitted to grade 10 according to the list approved by the Department of Education and Training.
