According to Khaosod , an Austrian man named Wolfgang Gantner (43 years old) showed signs of convulsions and severe abdominal pain at Don Mueang Airport (Bangkok, Thailand) and was urgently transferred to the emergency room of Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital at 1:00 a.m. on June 11.
There, doctors discovered pink liquid flowing from the patient's rectum, so they immediately performed a CT scan. The results showed that there were many small, round, irregular objects in the patient's intestines, some of which had been excreted, suspected to be drugs.

Upon closer inspection, doctors discovered a total of 255 pink-red methamphetamine tablets with the symbol “WY” printed on them - a group 1 drug according to Thailand's classification.
One of the three drug packages broke, leaked out and threatened the patient's life.
The Bangkok Post also reported that as soon as the test results were available, the hospital notified the police to conduct an investigation. Wolfgang Gantner is still in a coma.
The police have received the evidence as a basis for criminal proceedings according to Thai law.

Authorities suspect that this person used the "muling" trick - a method of hiding drugs by swallowing them - to transport drugs across the border. However, this action is extremely dangerous because when the drug package breaks inside the body, the victim may face a high risk of death from acute drug shock.
This is a serious incident that has attracted great attention, because in recent times, transnational drug trafficking rings have tended to take advantage of this form to bypass airport security forces.
The case is being further investigated by the police force. If he recovers, Wolfgang Gantner will face charges of illegal drug transportation, which can be severely punished under Thai law.
