Despite being in the midst of the National Day holiday on September 2, Hoi An Ancient Town (Da Nang) recorded a lower number of tourists than in previous years, contrary to many people's initial predictions. The main roads in the old town, which are famous for their bustling tourist scene, are now more open.
A ticket counter employee in the Old Quarter shared: “We have sold a fair amount of tickets in the past two days, but overall it is not as crowded as expected. There are quite a few European visitors, mainly Vietnamese and Asian groups.”

To celebrate Independence Day, Hoi An ancient town was decorated with the red color of the national flag. The streets, hotel balconies, and restaurants were all decorated with flags. Many souvenir shops and refreshment shops also arranged unique check-in photo spots to serve tourists.
Ms. Le Thi Nga, a long-time trader in the old town, commented: “The number of visitors on the occasion of September 2 this year is not as crowded as in previous years, there is no longer the scene of "inching forward" on the streets. According to our guess, this time tourists will concentrate on the capital Hanoi to celebrate Independence Day, so Hoi An will be less crowded. Although not as expected, there are still quite a lot of visitors, mainly Chinese and Korean groups…”.

Major tourist attractions such as Sun World Ba Na Hills, Nui Than Tai hot spring park, Mikazuki, 365 VinWonders Nam Hoi An water park and Hoi An ancient town are still popular destinations for tourists.
