In the middle of the night, the red Sun slowly descends near the horizon and rises immediately after, the light seemingly never fading. This is an extremely interesting phenomenon that attracts many tourists to the North Cape, Norway at this time of year.

On the 307m high cliffs of North Cape (Norwegian: Nordkapp), overlooking the sea in the distance, the red sun slowly descends near the horizon at midnight and then rises again immediately from there.
The sun does not set in the North Cape from May to August.
After 10pm, after enjoying wonderful dishes made from fresh king crab caught from the Barents Sea, the port city of Honningsvåg ( Norway ), the 16-seat car took us to North Cape - the most ideal place to watch the Midnight Sun on the beautiful land of Norway.
"In the North Cape, the Sun shines continuously from mid-May to early August. During this time, there is no sunset because the Sun never sets, shining all day and all night.
"This phenomenon occurs at points near the polar circle, due to the Earth's tilt on its axis of about 23 degrees. This is the reason why many European countries, although not far from Norway, never have the opportunity to admire the Midnight Sun," Magnus (38), a local and photographer, told us during the 30-minute journey to North Cape.
The road from Honningsvåg to North Cape winds and straightens, lined with sun-drenched meadows and sparkling lakes.

The most exciting and unique nighttime sunrise tour in Norway
At 11pm, the car carrying the group stopped at North Cape, the outside temperature was about 10 degrees Celsius, and the cold wind blew in gusts.
Hundreds of tourists are standing on the tip of a steep cliff with a fairly flat surface. Right in front of them are white clouds drifting gently beside the cliff, creating a magical mist like a fairy tale.
"I was here in 2019 but it was winter and the weather was harsh. This time we came back and had a wonderful experience with sunny weather and saw the Midnight Sun. The scenery is interesting and unique" - Angelika Stemmler (German female tourist) shared.
"In late summer, the sky often takes on unexpected colors. The sun seems to burn out before disappearing behind the mountains.
"When the sun touched the horizon again, we had normal days with distinct day and night. At that time, summer was no more," Magnus said.
According to Magnus, many tourists come to the North Cape on super- cruise ships that cruise around Europe. Norway has a long coastline, so cruise tours are very popular here.
Visitors usually get off the train in the town of Honningsvåg and travel about 30km up the North Cape by road.
If you choose to go from Alta city, you will have the opportunity to admire the wild nature, passing through long hills, small lakes or clear streams, to enchanting roads with the sea on one side and mountains on the other.

The journey of more than 200km from Alta takes about 3 hours, visitors will pass through green grassy plateaus, winding coastal roads and many tunnels, including a nearly 7km long undersea tunnel across the Magerøysundet Strait.
In the North Cape there is a visitor centre (Nordkapp Hall), built in 1988, which includes facilities such as a cafe, restaurant, post office , souvenir shop, museum and video screening room.
The building even has a chapel where couples can get married. Admission to North Cape for adults is around $32.
Near the entrance to the North Cape tourist area is a sculpture called "Children of the World "…
