Accordingly, in Dong Nai , Ho Chi Minh City National University will organize the exam at 4 universities, including: Lac Hong University, Dong Nai University of Technology (Bien Hoa city), Eastern University of Technology (Thong Nhat district) and Dong Nai Forestry University Branch (Trang Bom district). Universities in Dong Nai have closely coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City National University in terms of facilities, invigilators and support for candidates coming to take the exam.

According to information from the Center for Testing and Assessment of Training Quality (VNU-HCMC), in the first round of the 2025 Competency Assessment Exam, more than 130,000 candidates registered to take the exam. This is considered the exam with the highest number of candidates registered to date.

On the morning of Sunday, March 30, in addition to Dong Nai, the first round of the exam also took place in 24 other provinces and cities including: Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Tien Giang, Vinh Long, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau, Can Tho, Kien Giang, An Giang, Dong Thap, Tay Ninh, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Dak Lak and Ho Chi Minh City.

The results of the first round of exams will be announced to candidates by VNU-HCM on April 16. From 2025, VNU-HCM will only issue electronic certificates of exam results, not paper certificates of results. Candidates can download the certificates of results from their personal accounts and use them to register for admission. The results from this exam can be used for admission to member universities of VNU-HCM and more than 100 other universities.

After the first round, VNU-HCM will continue to open the registration portal for the second round, from April 17 to May 7. The second round of exams will take place on June 1. Candidates who have registered for the first round can still register for the second round.
