Accordingly, to ensure uninterrupted professional activities and at the same time improve the quality of care, protection and health promotion services for the people, the two Departments of Health will merge. In particular, the departments and centers under the Department with the same functions will merge together.
For the district and city medical centers (old) will remain the same and be under the management of the Department of Health. These centers will be arranged and organized to provide services according to the area (inter-commune, ward).
Maintain the existing commune and ward health stations to meet the needs of medical examination, treatment and health care for the people in the area. Based on the area and population size of the new commune-level administrative unit, it can be reorganized into a public service unit directly under the People's Committee of the commune level. There will be a main station, the remaining old stations will be arranged into stations/sub-stations to ensure closeness to the people, closeness to the area, and good implementation of primary health care for the people right from the grassroots level.
