High school graduation exam in 2024 expected to be held earlier than last year

The Ministry of Education and Training is developing two plans to organize the high school graduation exam in 2024. The earliest time is June 20-21. At the 2024 Admissions Conference organized by the Ministry of Education and Training on the morning of March 15 in Ho Chi Minh City, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy, Director of the Department of Higher Education, said that the Ministry is developing two plans for the high school graduation exam. Plan 1 is on June 21-22 and plan 2 is on June 26-27. According to Ms. Thuy, the units of the Ministry are developing to submit for approval and prioritize plan 1. In case of following plan 2, the following time points will be postponed accordingly.

With these two proposed options, the high school graduation exam time is earlier than in 2023, which was held on June 28-29.

In addition, Ms. Thuy also said that the enrollment work in 2024 will remain stable as in 2023. The time to register for university admission is from July 10-25 online on the system or on the National Public Service Portal.

During this time, candidates can register and adjust their wishes an unlimited number of times. On July 20, the Ministryof Education and Training will announce the threshold to ensure the quality of input for the teaching and health sectors.

In 2023, the whole country will have more than 1 million candidates taking the high school graduation exam. Of these, more than 546,000 candidates will enter university, reaching 53.1%, an increase of nearly 2% compared to 2022.

Binh Duong is the province with the highest university and college enrollment rate of over 80%, followed by Da Nang. Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are the 2 localities ranked 3rd in terms of high university enrollment rate in 2023.

2023 Theater Awards lack A-list works

Animated films continuously set Vietnamese box office records
