More than 1.2 million delegates attended

On the morning of October 20, in Hanoi, the Politburo and the Central Party Secretariat held a national conference to disseminate and implement the Resolution of the 10th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee.

The conference was held in a combination of live and online formats at Dien Hong bridge point, National Assembly House, connecting with 14,934 bridge points nationwide, with more than 1.2 million delegates attending.

At the conference, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang, thoroughly grasped and deployed the topic "Key, core contents, new points in the Draft Political Report at the 14th National Party Congress and the Draft Summary Report on a number of theoretical and practical issues on the work of innovation towards socialism in the past 40 years in Vietnam".

Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh delivered a special presentation on the key, core and new contents of the draft Report on the assessment of 5 years of implementing the 10-year Socio-Economic Development Strategy 2021-2030, the Orientation and tasks for Socio-Economic Development in the 5-year period 2026-2030, and on the socio-economic situation, state budget in 2024, and the plan for 2025.

He also informed about the 3-year state financial and budget plan for 2025-2027 and about the policy of investing in the high-speed railway on the North-South axis, and about the policy of establishing Hue city under the Central Government.

Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung delivered the topic: "Key, core contents, new points in the draft Report summarizing the Party building work and implementation of the Party Charter during the 13th Congress term".

He also reported on some basic contents on amending the Party's Election Regulations; on summarizing the personnel work for the 13th National Congress and building the direction for personnel work for the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Draft political report at the 14th Congress has strategic and historical significance

According to Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang, the Draft Political Report at the 14th National Party Congress has many new contents, different highlights compared to the 13th National Congress, of strategic and historical significance, and of the nature of a Platform for implementation in the coming period.

The Draft Political Report creates a particularly important milestone for Vietnam to develop rapidly and sustainably, in accordance with the requirements of the times, opening a new era, an era of growth for the Vietnamese people.

The Central Executive Committee unanimously stated: In the context of many difficulties and great challenges, with the high will and determination of the entire Party, people, army and the entire political system, the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress has achieved outstanding achievements and results.

That is: Basic economic development completes the main and important goals. Cultural, social and human development has many progressive aspects.

National defense and security have been constantly strengthened; foreign relations and international integration have been upgraded. Party building and rectification and the political system have been synchronous, clean, and comprehensively strong; the fight against corruption and negativity has continued to be vigorously promoted, achieving many important results.

The Central Executive Committee determined that during the 14th Congress term, it is necessary to continue to strengthen the building and rectification of the Party and the political system to be clean and strong in all aspects; promote the strength of culture, people and the great national unity bloc combined with the strength of the times; promote innovation, digital transformation, green transformation; develop the country rapidly and sustainably and firmly protect the Fatherland;

Maintain a peaceful and stable environment; turn our country into a developing country with high average income and modern industry by 2030, practically celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding, aim to realize the vision by 2045, complete the goal of the 100th anniversary of the country's founding, turn our country into a developed country with high income; create a solid foundation for the country to enter a new era of development for a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, happy Vietnam, firmly moving towards socialism.

The Central Executive Committee unanimously assessed that the Draft Report summarizing a number of theoretical and practical issues on the work of renovation towards socialism over the past 40 years in Vietnam has been carefully prepared, comprehensive, and quite profound, demonstrating new theoretical issues drawn from practice.

This is a very important report that contributes to perfecting our Party's theory on innovation and national development over the past 40 years; from there, we can build directions, viewpoints, goals, and solutions for the next stage.

The Central Executive Committee affirmed that the achievements that our country has made in 40 years of construction and development following the Party's renovation policy are enormous and of historical significance, while also frankly pointing out the limitations and difficulties in each field, on that basis, orienting solutions to continue to comprehensively and synchronously promote the renovation, construction, development and protection of the Fatherland in the new period.
