A video has captured the terrifying moment a £1.4 million superyacht caught fire and sank off the coast of Ibiza, Spain. This is known as the party island of the land of bullfighting.
The fire broke out on the 27.7m Da Vinci yacht, which was carrying seven people including passengers and crew. The area where the incident occurred is in the Mediterranean Sea. Images recorded on August 11 show a large fire engulfing the entire ship.

Thick black smoke billowed into the sky as the Da Vinci rocked in the blue water. Fires erupted from the ship's holds, and the sound of fire was intense.
According to rescue forces, all 4 passengers, 2 sailors and the captain were safely evacuated and “in good health”. However, despite the efforts of the fire brigade at sea to put out the fire, the Da Vinci yacht was completely burned and sank to the bottom of the sea.
The Superyacht Times reported that the ship sank about 7 miles southwest of the island of Formentera. The fire is believed to have started in the engine room and quickly spread throughout the luxury ship. However, the exact cause has not yet been determined.
A large red fireboat rushed to the scene, spraying water to extinguish the fire. According to local maritime rescue sources, CCS Palma dispatched the Guardamar Concepcion Arenal and the Salvamar Naos, carrying firefighters.
The seven people on board were brought safely to shore by the Salvamar Naos. The fire could not be contained and the yacht sank. The Guardamar remained in the area to collect debris.
According to Ultimate Hora , the fire initially seemed to be under control. However, the fire suddenly flared up again when the rescue ship began to tow the yacht.
It is known that the Da Vinci yacht was manufactured by Astondoa (Spain), belonging to the 95 GLX series produced during the period 1997-2004. The yacht has a capacity of 10 guests and a premium cabin for the owner.
