Bringing Vietnam-China relations into a period of higher political trust

On the evening of September 26, in Hanoi , the Chinese Embassy held a solemn reception to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (October 1, 1949 - October 1, 2023).

Party Central Committee member, Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises Nguyen Hoang Anh and leaders of a number of Vietnamese departments, ministries, branches and localities, as well as representatives of diplomatic corps and international organizations in Hanoi attended.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chinese Ambassador Hung Ba reviewed the achievements of the Party, State and people of China over the past 74 years, looking back at China's development journey from "standing up", then "getting rich" and "getting strong".

The Ambassador emphasized that under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China with General Secretary andPresident Xi Jinping as the core leader, China has successfully completed the first 100-year goal, comprehensively building a moderately prosperous society, opening a new journey of building Chinese-style modernization.

Ambassador Hung Ba emphasized that China and Vietnam are friendly neighbors, mountains connected to mountains, rivers connected to rivers; China always puts relations with Vietnam as a priority direction in its neighborly diplomacy, this is China's strategic choice based on the long-term development of relations between the two countries; expressed willingness to work with Vietnam to persevere under the strategic guidance of the top leaders of the two Parties and two countries, bringing a new era connotation to the China-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, bringing better benefits to the two countries and peoples.

On behalf of the Party, State and people of Vietnam, Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises Nguyen Hoang Anh warmly congratulated the great achievements that the Party, State and people of China have achieved in 74 years of building and developing the country, making China the world's leading economic power with GDP accounting for 19% of the total global GDP, trade accounting for over 15% of the total global trade turnover and contributing 38.6% to world economic growth.

He expressed his belief that China will continue to move forward steadily on the path to achieving the goal of “second centenary”, building China into a modern, prosperous, democratic, civilized, harmonious and beautiful socialist country.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh expressed that 2023 marks the 15th anniversary of Vietnam and China establishing the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership framework - the highest cooperation framework with the most profound connotation in Vietnam's partnership with countries around the world to date.

Over the past years, the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries has made remarkable progress in all areas, especially since the historic official visit to China by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong (October 2022). Vietnam - China relations have been continuously promoted and deepened.

In the coming time, the Party, State and people of Vietnam are ready to work with the Party, State and people of China to bring bilateral relations into a new stage of development with higher political trust, deeper practical cooperation and a more solid social foundation.
