10,000 athletes participate in the Cross-Country Race "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in Binh Duong province

On May 18, at the New City Exhibition and Convention Center, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province officially launched the Cross-Country Race "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025" - a sports event combined with charity to raise funds to build houses for disadvantaged households.

Cross-country race combined with volunteering to support people in need

With the message "Run for a warm home - Give love - Receive happiness", the tournament attracted more than 10,000 athletes of all ages, including students, staff, armed forces and a large number of people in Binh Duong province. This is not only a festival for sports lovers but also a journey to join hands to build a sustainable community, where everyone shares and spreads kindness.

Athletes compete in three distances of 3km, 5km and 10km on a route running along the main streets of Binh Duong New City.

Traffic coordination, security, logistics and medical care are ensured, not to mention hundreds of volunteers supporting throughout, creating a safe, friendly and energetic atmosphere.

Right after the opening ceremony, thousands of footsteps started simultaneously, spreading the spirit of solidarity and sharing. Not only a physical race, the race is also a journey of joining hands to light up hope for homes lacking love.

The event is the opening activity for a series of programs for social security in 2025, contributing to building Binh Duong into a livable place - humane, sustainable and leaving no one behind.

Male athletes finished in the top 10 places in the 10km race

According to information from the Organizing Committee, the total amount of money raised from the cross-country race is 27.5 billion VND. This number is expected to increase in the coming time, when units and businesses continue to contribute to the fund "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Binh Duong province by 2025" launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.

After nearly 2 hours of competition on the roads of Binh Duong New City, the results of the men's and women's competitions were determined as follows:

- Distance 3km : Nguyen Hoang Nhat Nam - Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong

- 5km distance : Le Kim Duoc - Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan

- 10km distance : Nguyen Ngoc Quy - Le Thu Ha
