President Ho Chi Minh, the great patriot of Vietnam, not only belongs solely to the Vietnamese people but is also the great leader of the world revolutionary movement, of the international communist movement.

This is the affirmation of Ms. Poldi Sosa Schmidt, President of the Argentina-Vietnam Cultural Institute.

Talking to a VNA reporter in South America on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, Ms. Poldi Sosa, a very close friend of the Vietnamese people, recounted the first time she heard about President Ho Chi Minh in May 1968 in Paris (France).

Immediately, the thoughts and images of President Ho Chi Minh attracted her and she began to read about him, a great leader.

During his revolutionary career, President Ho Chi Minh's ideology always linked the goal of national independence with socialism, and he was also the initiator of the struggle for freedom in the colonial world.

Ms. Poldi Sosa emphasized that the name of President Ho Chi Minh will forever be associated with the most noble actions for a world without war, cruelty, poverty and discrimination.

She recounted that with dozens of visits to Vietnam, with all her respect and love for President Ho Chi Minh, she and her Argentine friends had many times gone to Lang Sen, Uncle Ho's hometown, and visited Ben Nha Rong, where Uncle Ho boarded the ship to find a way to save the country.

Ms. Poldi Sosa shared her feelings when she first set foot in Ben Nha Rong, where the patriotic young man Nguyen Tat Thanh, full of revolutionary ambition, left to find a way to save the country, opening the revolutionary path for the Vietnamese people, and was truly moved.

After 30 years of traveling around the world, working, studying, researching world revolutionary theory and practice, Nguyen Ai Quoc (the name of President Ho Chi Minh during his revolutionary activities in France) returned to the Fatherland, bringing with him an extremely valuable asset, which was the revolutionary path, the path to liberating the Vietnamese people. The Vietnamese revolutionary path that President Ho Chi Minh built was the foundation for all victories of the Vietnamese revolution.

Ms. Poldi Sosa recounted that in Argentina, the name of President Ho Chi Minh is associated with the story of a first-generation communist leader of Argentina, Mr. Miguel Contreras.

In early 1924, in the bitter cold of Soviet Russia, President Ho Chi Minh, then known as Nguyen Ai Quoc, coincidentally met and became acquainted with a friend from the faraway country of Argentina. They then shared with each other their ideals, concerns, joys and sorrows, and hardships during the following three months at the "cradle" of the world proletarian revolutionary movement.

In early 1924, Mr. Contreras was sent to the Soviet Union with an Argentine and Latin American communist leader to attend the Fifth Congress of the Communist International, at the same time as the leader of the international communist movement and Soviet Russia, VI Lenin, had just passed away.

After arriving in Moscow, the whole group went to Red Square to pay their respects to leader Lenin. During the more than 3 hours of waiting in the -30 degree Celsius cold, Mr. Contreras had the opportunity to meet an Asian young man in the line of people waiting to pay their respects to Lenin.

Through the story, he learned that the young man's name was Nguyen Ai Quoc, who was in the process of researching and learning about the Bolshevik revolution, as well as the struggle of Soviet Russia to apply to the struggle for national liberation in his homeland, Vietnam.

After that, due to standing in the snow for too long without gloves, Nguyen Ai Quoc's hands were almost frozen.

Mr. Contreras immediately gave his gloves to his new friend and went with him to the place where Nguyen Ai Quoc was staying. Mr. Contreras was also very surprised because that was the room that the organizers had arranged for him during his time in the Soviet Union.

The three months they spent together afterward were a time when the two had the opportunity to share their revolutionary ideals, concerns and difficulties in promoting the revolutionary movement in their homeland.

Later, Mr. Contreras had the opportunity to meet Uncle Ho twice more in 1938 and 1960, also in Moscow, when the two attended conferences of the international communist movement.

At the end of the story, Ms. Poldi Sosa, who is 80 years old this year, affirmed that the name and career of President Ho Chi Minh in the 20th and 21st centuries will forever be remembered by the world with all respect and admiration./.
