Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City - said that the Green Tick of Responsibility (the Program for controlling the quality of goods in Ho Chi Minh City) was implemented from the beginning of 2024, making its mark in establishing new standards for the responsibility of all parties. In addition to traditional distribution channels, this model continues to be replicated in e-commerce.
"Through inspection and control by authorities, the current situation of e-commerce activities still has many shortcomings, commercial fraud, infringement of intellectual property rights, counterfeit goods still exist. Some famous people take advantage of consumer trust to profit, helping to consume counterfeit goods... This situation leads to infringement of consumer rights, and difficulties for legitimate businesses," Mr. Phuong stated the reason.
At the conference, Tuoi Tre newspaper announced the project Supporting Vietnamese goods on e-commerce season 2 in 2025, with the participation of many units and management agencies.
The project has many contents taking place throughout such as the Online Sales Star Award; Professional online sales skills training program; Developing professional digital human resources for e-commerce...
The Department of Industry and Trade said that the special feature of the Green Tick for e-commerce responsibility is that the operating mechanism is based on the participation of the entire ecosystem - from state management agencies, consumers, the press, trading floors, sellers to KOC (consumers with strong influence).
All monitor and cross-check each other, in the spirit of transparency and respect for the community.
According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoa - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association (HUBA), the Responsible Green Tick initiative is very commendable because of the proactive participation of distributors and e-commerce platforms. This force plays an important role, as a filter, contributing to cleaning the market from the root. Therefore, having more solutions and a large number of parties participating in the fight against counterfeit and poor quality goods is very necessary.
Individuals and units participating in Blue Tick will be supported.
At the program, representatives of many e-commerce platforms, manufacturers, KOLs, KOCs... signed a commitment to join Tick Xanh in e-commerce responsibility. In particular, familiar platforms such as TikTok, Shopee, Lazada, Tiki... all participated.
Mr. Tran Lam Thanh, representative of TikTok Vietnam, affirmed that this is a good initiative so the unit is ready to accompany. According to Mr. Thanh, thanks to the State's raids, through observation, the amount of poor quality goods has recently decreased and revenue for quality goods has increased sharply compared to normal.
"After signing the Blue Tick, we will work with the organizers to come up with additional solutions to tighten quality. TikTok will prioritize tightening inspection of input sources, increasing training for all parties, removing violating products and brands from the platform, and increasing promotion of Blue Tick products so that consumers can recognize and shop."
Many individuals and businesses committed to accompanying, saying they will further tighten the quality of products produced and sold on the market to ensure the quality reaches consumers.
According to the city's industry and trade department, the e-commerce platform will set an example of complying with the law, protecting consumers, handling violations, and supporting sellers to achieve blue tick standards. Sellers provide legal goods, transparent origin, price, and information; do not advertise falsely. Affiliate marketers must communicate honestly.
The green tick is issued after the subjects sign the commitment, and will be displayed on the booth, personal profile and social networks. Subjects who fulfill the commitments well will be honored, supported to develop, and given priority access to sales channels.
