According to the People's Committee of Duc Trong district, in 2025, the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in the district will take place in accordance with the process, ensuring time and strictly complying with the provisions of the law. A bright spot in this year's military recruitment work is the effectiveness of the propaganda and dissemination of the Law on Military Service (NVQS). The activities have been widely deployed, contributing to raising awareness of the people, especially young people of military age, about their responsibility and sacred duty to the Fatherland. As a result, 146 young people are ready to leave for military service and 34 young people join the People's Public Security service, reaching 100% of the target assigned by the province.

The military camp was organized on a large scale and systematically, and has truly become a big festival of the district, with strong propaganda andeducation . This event not only created a lively atmosphere, encouraged the spirit of the new recruits but was also highly appreciated by the Provincial Military Command (CHQS) and chosen as a model in the province.

To achieve these proud achievements, localities and units in the district have implemented many creative and effective methods. The District Military Command has proactively coordinated and guided communes, towns, high schools and vocational training centers to organize registration for 1,761 male citizens aged 17, reaching a rate of 100%. The re-examination work was seriously carried out for 8,612 citizens aged 18 - 27, reaching 4.5% of the district's population. Through the screening steps, 3,127 citizens were eligible for the initial health examination for military service.

With the motto "Recruiting the right person", the Duc Trong District Military Service Council has tightened the selection process from the commune-level preliminary examination to the district-level examination. The stages such as: grasping the source, reviewing standards, propaganda, mobilization, examination and issuing the call for military service are all carefully prepared and implemented in accordance with regulations. The results of the examination and preliminary selection show the seriousness in the screening process, with 1,007 citizens eligible for district-level examination, accounting for 45.5%. At the district level, 577/580 citizens present were examined, reaching 99.4% and 273 citizens met the health standards, reaching 47.4%.

In particular, the District Party Committee has paid special attention to the work of selecting party members to join the army. Communes and towns have proactively developed plans, created sources, trained and recruited party members of military age, ensuring strict standards, principles and procedures in accordance with the Party Charter. Thanks to that, the district has selected 4 official party members to call for military service in 2025, contributing to improving the political quality of the armed forces.

Along with military recruitment, the military rear policy has always been focused on by the Party Committee and authorities at all levels in Duc Trong. Many practical activities have been carried out such as: visiting and giving gifts to citizens before leaving for military service; understanding their thoughts, aspirations, and family circumstances to promptly encourage them... The District Military Service Council also coordinated to build two military-civilian houses for discharged soldiers in Ta Nang and Ta Hine communes, demonstrating deep concern for the lives of soldiers and their families.

In addition to the remarkable achievements, the District Military Service Council also frankly pointed out some shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome. These include the lack of close supervision in some localities, the lack of truly diverse and extensive propaganda work, the lack of coordination in managing the source of citizens ready to join the army, and the lack of uniformity in handling violations of the Military Service Law. The issue of citizens intentionally using stimulants to distort the results of health examinations is also a challenge that needs to be solved.

In the coming time, Duc Trong district will continue to promote the achieved results, at the same time have specific and drastic solutions to overcome the shortcomings and limitations. In particular, continue to strengthen propaganda and education on the law on military service in many forms, educate traditions, raise awareness for cadres and people about socio-economic development, associated with local military and defense work. Resolutely handle violations in the military recruitment process such as: avoiding registration, military service health check and resisting the call for military service as well as violations of the Law on Military Service... The goal is to continuously improve the quality of the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army, building the district's armed forces increasingly strong, meeting the requirements of the task of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.
