On the afternoon of February 23, Mr. Bui Hoa An, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport, said that the 9 vehicle inspection centers in Ho Chi Minh City will continue to operate normally without being suspended because they have found an on-site inspection unit.

The unit responsible for inspection is the Quality Measurement Standards Technical Center 3 (QUATEST 3), ensuring that it meets the inspection standards as prescribed.

9 inspection centers in Ho Chi Minh City will continue to operate normally.

According to regulations, exhaust gas analysis and noise measurement equipment used in vehicle inspection must be periodically inspected every 12 months.

If the noise and exhaust measuring equipment at the production lines at 9 inspection centers in Ho Chi Minh City is removed and brought to Hanoi for inspection, these places will have to temporarily stop operating for at least 10 days.

The suspension of operations will affect the inspection activities of people and businesses.

Currently, 9/18 inspection centers in the city have completed inspection of the above equipment.
