Duong Hoa: Preserving and promoting the value of the Que Duong martial arts relic

HNP - To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Heritage Day (November 23, 2005 - November 23, 2025), on November 14, Duong Hoa commune held the inauguration ceremony and installed a signboard for the restoration and embellishment of the Vo Chi Que Duong relic, a city-level historical relic. This is an important activity in preserving and promoting local cultural and historical values.

The Que Duong Martial Arts Relic, located in Hoa Hop village, Duong Hoa commune, has an area of ​​766 m². This is the place to worship Saint Tran Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan , an outstanding national hero, a symbol of patriotism and indomitable will. The relic is also a memorial site to honor the ancestors and scholars of Duong Lieu village, Que Duong during the early Le and Mac dynasties.

Ranked as a city-level historical relic in 2016 , over time and historical events, many relic items have degraded . In order to preserve and promote cultural and historical values, while meeting the cultural, religious and spiritual needs of the people, the project to restore and embellish the Vo Chi Que Duong relic was started in November 2024 , with a total investment of more than 11 billion VND.

Up to now, the project has been completed, ensuring the correct approved design documents . The construction process was carried out seriously, adhering to the principles of preserving relics, preserving the original elements of architecture, materials and space to the maximum, while creating a spacious, majestic, solemn and clean appearance .

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of Duong Hoa Commune People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Khoa emphasized that the Vo Chi Que Duong relic is not only a place for religious activities, but also a "red address" to educate historical traditions, patriotism, and pride in the homeland for cadres, party members and people, especially the young generation.

The preservation and promotion of historical and cultural relics in Duong Hoa commune is of great significance in building a healthy cultural environment and fostering the people's character and personality, in accordance with the Party's Resolution on cultural development and building elegant and civilized Hanoians .

In order for the relic to become a testament to the preservation of cultural and religious values , passed on to future generations, the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Duong Hoa commune requested the Relic Management Board and the Hoa Hop village Festival Committee to regularly improve their sense of responsibility, fully implement the management regulations, protect the landscape and architecture , and maintain a civilized lifestyle at the place of worship .

In addition, agencies, organizations and schools are encouraged to integrate activities to learn about the Vo Chi Que Duong relic, the merits of Saint Tran and the talented people of the homeland into extracurricular programs and practical experiences, thereby educating historical traditions and pride in the homeland for students, union members and youth . In addition, specialized agencies of the commune need to promote management, guidance and support to ensure that the relic is managed in accordance with regulations and promotes long-term value .
