Faced with serious damage in Dak Lak, where nearly 100,000 customers have not had their power restored, the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) has urgently mobilized more than 252 officers, engineers, and workers from the shock teams of four power companies (Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang , and Quang Ngai), along with the EVNCPC Forward Command Board, to increase support for handling incidents at the scene.
Mr. Nguyen Dai Phuc, Director of Hue Electricity Company, said that today the unit has established a shock force with 62 people in good health, good skills, experience and 9 specialized vehicles carrying equipment, tools, power grid repair tools, materials, spare equipment, vehicles and some necessities to carry out the task and support the people of Dak Lak .
Along with mobilizing personnel, EVNCPC also transferred 40,000 electronic meters along with many materials and equipment to replace and install in areas where water has just receded, ready to restore safe power supply to people.
The working teams were divided into many groups, closely coordinating with the Forward Command to inspect, clean the power grid, replace meters, handle equipment, and gradually restore power to areas that met safety conditions. The reinforcement force worked continuously, focusing on giving priority to densely populated areas and areas where flooding had receded, in order to restore power to the people as soon as possible.
Mr. Ngo Tan Cu, General Director of EVNCPC said: "The floods in Dak Lak this time have caused extremely heavy damage to people, property and livelihoods. The power grid has also been affected a lot. With the spirit of urgency, hoping that people will soon recover from the natural disaster, EVNCPC mobilized more people from power companies to participate in supporting the repair of the power system in Dak Lak. Wherever the water recedes, we will check for safety and restore power to help people stabilize their lives soon."
Previously, on November 22, Dak Lak Electricity Company also mobilized more than 300 officers, engineers, and workers from the western region of the province to support the heavily flooded eastern area.
This large-scale mobilization of forces and materials is expected to significantly shorten the time for power restoration in Dak Lak - the locality most severely affected by this flood.
