FC Online brings Uruguay legend, former MU star to Vietnam

On July 20, Uruguayan football legend, former striker Diego Forlan came to Vietnam to attend the offline event celebrating the 7th birthday of the game FC Online.

In the clip sent to Vietnamese fans, Diego Forlan smiled and said: "Hello Vietnam" in Vietnamese, confiding: "Your passion for football is also my passion" and made an appointment to meet fans. At the event, the football-loving community in general and the game FC Online in particular will have many interesting activities, meeting and sharing with people who share the same passion.

Diego Forlan is one of the best strikers Uruguay has ever produced. He began his professional career in Argentina with Independiente, before moving to Europe to play for MU in 2002. Although he did not really explode at Old Trafford, Forlan quickly made a name for himself when he moved to Villarreal, and then peaked at Atletico Madrid. With the Spanish capital team, he won the Pichichi title (Top scorer in La Liga) twice, won the Europa League and the European Super Cup. With the Uruguay national team, Forlan is a legend. He contributed greatly to helping the team win the 2011 Copa America and reach the semi-finals of the 2010 World Cup. In South Africa, he also won the title of Best Player of the World Cup.

This is not the first time FC Online has invited a football legend to attend an event in Vietnam. In November 2024, FC Online successfully organized a similar program, including a meeting and exchange with Ruud Gullit, a Dutch football icon and also a player used a lot in the game thanks to his comprehensive skill set and "top-notch" stats.
