Ford Performance Reveals Baja 1000 Champion

Ranger Raptor 1 officially participates in the Finke Desert Race, the High Performance Development Unit Ford Performance has released a trailer for the video series called 'Brave Like Finke'.

The ‘Brave Like Finke’ series follows the development of the race-spec Ranger Raptor and the team behind Ford’s race preparations. Throughout the episodes, viewers will see the determination to overcome the most difficult conditions and gain insight into the motivation behind the race teams taking on this challenge.

Continuing Ford’s global Baja 1000 efforts, the race-ready Ranger Raptor 1 will compete in the Production 4WD class at Finke. Built in Australia, it was the Baja 1000-winning vehicle.

The Finke Desert Race as well as the careful preparation and determination of the Ford Performance team – who will represent Ford to conquer Australia's most extreme off-road endurance race.

The 2023 Finke Desert Race marks the first Finke appearance for Ford and Lovell Racing. Baja 1000-winning team members Brad and Byam Lovell will continue to pair up in the driver/navigator seats of the Ranger Raptor. Ford Performance will be supported by Walkinshaw Performance with logistics, event management and vehicle maintenance.

The Tatts Finke Desert Race takes place this weekend, June 9-12.
