This morning (May 16), nearly 1,100 5th graders who completed primary school in Ha Tinh City and several localities across the province participated in the competency assessment test for admission to 6th grade at Le Van Thiem Secondary School (Ha Tinh City) for the 2025-2026 school year.

Compared to last year, this year, the number of candidates registering for the competency assessment test decreased by more than 120 students, while the enrollment target is 240 students, the competition ratio is: 1/4.58.
The test and assessment of capacity was held at 2 locations: Le Van Thiem Secondary School and Nguyen Du Primary School (Ha Tinh City).

At exactly 8 o'clock, the candidates began taking the competency assessment test, which included three components: math and logical thinking, reading comprehension and writing, and English proficiency. The test format was a combination of multiple choice and essay questions, with a duration of 90 minutes.

The content of the test and assessment of capacity is within the primary education program, mainly the current grade 5 program of the Ministry of Education and Training . The test ensures the requirements of cognitive levels including: recognition, understanding, and application.
Admission to the school will be based on the test results, assessing the ability of this test with a 10-point scale for each content section and bonus points for priority subjects.

Immediately after the competency assessment exam ends, the sealing and transportation of exam papers to the marking area will be carried out seriously and in accordance with regulations by the city'seducation sector.
The exam marking is expected to begin on May 21-22 and results will be announced before May 24.
