On the afternoon of May 2, the Vesak Media Center located at the Vietnam Buddhist Academy in Ho Chi Minh City was officially launched. The Vesak Media Center was established to provide quick and accurate information about the 2025 United Nations Day of Vesak to domestic and foreign press agencies.
At the same time, the Vesak Press Center also created the best conditions for the team of reporters and cameramen to work at their best. Immediately afterwards, the organizing committee of the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival held a press conference to announce information before the festival, at the Vesak Press Center.

This year's Vesak celebration has more than 2,700 delegates attending, including about 1,300 international delegates from 85 countries and territories around the world .
Mr. Nguyen Duy Tan, director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Ho Chi Minh City, said that all basic preparations have been completed.
Around the venue The Vesak Festival has three spacious parking lots for cars and motorbikes. The organizers have arranged shuttle buses from the parking lots to the event area.
In addition to the opening and closing ceremonies, international scientific conferences, within the framework of Vesak, the organizing committee organizes art programs, holds the first exhibition to fully announce 87 national treasures of Vietnamese Buddhism, organizes a ceremony to raise the 500m2 Buddhist flag, a lantern festival, etc.

Most Venerable Tampalawela Dhammaratana - Permanent Vice President of the International Organizing Committee for the United Nations Day of Vesak (ICDV) - highly appreciated Vietnam's preparations for the celebration.
The 2025 Vesak Festival is co-organized by the International Committee for the United Nations Day of Vesak (ICDV) and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha. This is the fourth time Vietnam has hosted the event, previously in Hanoi (2008), Ninh Binh (2014) and Ha Nam (2019).
It is expected that 85 countries and territories will participate in Vesak 2025 in Vietnam. This is the 20th time the festival is held. Vesak 2025 took place from May 6 to 8 at the Vietnam Buddhist Academy in Ho Chi Minh City.
The main message of Vesak 2025 in Vietnam is "Solidarity and Tolerance for Human Dignity: Buddhist Wisdom for World Peace and Sustainable Development".
Vesak 2025 is a meaningful international cultural diplomatic event of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha. United Nations Vesak 2026 will be held in China.
