Nearly 1,500 people participated in the Thanh Liet Ward Sports Festival

On October 31, Thanh Liet ward organized the first Sports Festival - 2025, with the participation of nearly 1,500 people from residential groups, schools, agencies, units and people in the area.

From early morning, despite the light rain, Chu Van An Square was still filled with the brilliant red of flags, banners, and slogans. The loud music, combined with the jubilant atmosphere of the crowd flocking to the festival, created a lively and excited atmosphere.

The marching groups representing residential groups, schools, agencies, armed forces and mass organizations marched past the stage one by one. Leading the way was the solemn ceremonial group, followed by the militia and self-defense forces, the police in neat formation, marching strongly and in unison, demonstrating courage and discipline...

Each marching block is a color, a symbol of the spirit of "Strong to build and protect the Fatherland". The national flag flutters to the heroic music, the applause echoes throughout the square..., making the festival atmosphere more sacred, exciting, and full of spirit.

Along with the parade to show off the force, the welcoming art program imbued with local cultural identity, the Vovinam martial arts performance, folk dance and fan dance of the Elderly Health Club with the participation of more than 100 athletes created a vibrant, solemn and emotional atmosphere - truly a national sports festival.

The torch relay ceremony of the Congress was the sacred highlight of the ceremony. The flame was carried from the temple of Do Ho Dai Vuong Pham Tu, lit by Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of the ward Nguyen Minh Tuan, symbolizing the revolutionary tradition, solidarity and will to rise of the Party Committee, government and people of Thanh Liet ward in the new era.

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Vice Chairman of the Ward People's Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized: "The first Thanh Liet Ward Sports and Physical Training Congress is a great festival for all people, aiming to promote the movement of all people exercising following the example of great Uncle Ho, contributing to improving health, developing physical strength, and building a dynamic, civilized, and prosperous Thanh Liet people."

Since the beginning of 2025, residential groups, schools, agencies, businesses, and armed forces in the area have organized many exciting sports tournaments, attracting thousands of athletes to participate. Through the competition rounds, the Organizing Committee has selected the most outstanding faces to participate in 15 ward-level competitions, and at the same time sent excellent athletes to represent them in the City-level Sports Festival.
