Nearly 2,000 Sa Pa Ward Union members participate in the program "Union Meal"

Responding to the "Union Meal" program deployed by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Sa Pa Ward Union has directed grassroots unions to organize the "Union Meal" program in places where mid-shift meals or daily lunches are organized at the workplace for union members and workers.

Up to now, 20/32 grassroots unions of Sa Pa Ward Union with 1,969 union members have participated in the "Union Meal" program.

The value of the meal of the “Union Meal” is higher than the daily meal provided by the enterprise, with the increase coming from the Union’s finances and other socialized sources mobilized by the union. The main purpose is to improve the nutritional quality, ensure health and demonstrate the union’s concern for the workers, thereby enhancing cohesion and working spirit.

Meals in the program are of higher value than regular meals.

In addition to organizing the "Union Meal" program, units also organize activities to award, honor, and support employees; organize collective birthdays or cultural and sports programs to mobilize and connect employers and employees.

The program will be held from July 20 to September 2, 2025, with the highlight being the week of Vietnam Trade Union Day (July 28) and National Day (September 2).
