Exactly 100 years ago, Thanh Nien Newspaper was founded by Leader Nguyen Ai Quoc and published its first issue on June 21, 1925, marking the birth of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press. Over a century of formation and development, the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press has accompanied the nation, contributing to great achievements in the cause of building and defending the country.
Through revolutionary periods, Bac Kan press has always fulfilled its political tasks well, taking the lead on the ideological front, propagating, encouraging, motivating, and inspiring the entire Party, army, and people of Bac Kan province to unite, overcome challenges, build and protect the homeland.
Along with the general development of the country, press activities and the team of journalists in Bac Kan province have grown continuously in both quantity and quality. The whole province currently has 02 press agencies: Bac Kan Newspaper, Provincial Radio - Television Station and 01 magazine (Ba Be Literature and Arts). In addition, the province also has a number of representative offices of central press agencies such as: Vietnam News Agency, Nhan Dan Newspaper, VOV... and many reporters residing in the area.
The activities of local and central press agencies located in the area have actively contributed to propaganda work, promoting patriotism, truthfully reflecting social life, accompanying the Party Committee, government and people of the whole province in the socio -economic development of the locality.
Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Dinh Quang Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and contributions of press agencies in the comprehensive development process of Bac Kan province.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee warmly congratulated and expressed gratitude to the team of journalists in the province, and at the same time hoped that local press agencies and the team of journalists, reporters, and collaborators representing the central press agencies would continue to accompany the Party Committee and the government in performing well the propaganda task, contributing significantly to promoting the image and people of Bac Kan. Each journalist, reporter, editor of the provincial press agencies, reporter, and collaborator of the central press would continue to promote their love for the profession, worthy of being a soldier on the ideological front, joining hands for the goal of building the province to develop more and more.
He requested that the Party Committee, government, agencies and units of the province regularly pay attention to and coordinate to create favorable conditions for press activities, so that press agencies can fulfill their tasks well.
In the friendly atmosphere of the meeting, leaders of press agencies and central and local journalists reviewed the history of Vietnam's revolutionary press, the proud journey of Bac Kan province's press and shared their thoughts and feelings about journalism.
Within the framework of the meeting, the Organizing Committee of the Bac Kan Land and People Press Award presented awards to authors with outstanding works. Out of a total of 83 works participating in the "Bac Kan Land and People" Press Award, the Organizing Committee selected 40 excellent works in 4 types of press (Printed Newspaper, Electronic Newspaper, Television, Radio) to award A, B, C and Encouragement prizes respectively./.
