Silver prices cooled but remained high. Meanwhile, gold prices fell sharply after the US Federal Reserve (FED) decided to keep interest rates unchanged.
" This divergence has caused the gold-silver ratio to fall to 91.5. This suggests that silver is still outperforming gold in terms of the ratio and could continue to rally if the ratio continues to fall ," said market analyst James Hyerczyk.
According to the expert, silver's recent rally was defined by a breakout pattern, with key resistance levels being breached.
" Current support is at $35.46/oz, $34.87/oz. Silver continues to push higher, while gold is consolidating ahead of the Fed, with the psychological target of $40.00/oz getting closer ," said James Hyerczyk.
