The inspection force suddenly inspected 16 pesticide and fertilizer businesses in localities with large durian growing areas in the province, including Tan Phu, Dinh Quan, Xuan Loc, Cam My, and Long Khanh city.
As a result, there was 1 facility without a Business Registration Certificate; 3 facilities did not have a Certificate of eligibility to trade in fertilizers and pesticides according to regulations. All inspected facilities implemented the price listing regulations according to regulations.
During the inspection, the authorities took 37 samples, including 21 fertilizer samples and 16 pesticide samples, to analyze the product quality. As a result, 29/37 samples met the declared quality standards, in accordance with the corresponding technical regulations, accounting for nearly 78.4%. There were 8 samples that did not meet the quality standards, of which 5 were of poor quality (including 1 pesticide sample and 4 fertilizer samples); there were 3 fake pesticide samples.
In addition, the inspection of quality standard declaration records and the implementation of regulations on product labeling found that 39/84 pesticide and fertilizer trading establishments had labeled their products incorrectly with the required content on the product labels.
14 establishments and 40 related organizations were administratively fined with a total amount of more than 183 million VND.
