Vinmec cooperates with VinUni to build a generation of young doctors who meet international standards

Vinmec and VinUni contributed 15 reports at the APAS & VAAS 2025 International Scientific Conference, of which 6 reports came from VinUni resident physicians.

Vinmec's international footprint and the maturity of a young generation of doctors

The APAS & VAAS 2025 International Scientific Conference takes place from July 30 to August 2, 2025, a large-scale conference in the Asia- Pacific region, combining the 25th Annual Conference of the Asia-Pacific Arthroplasty Society and the 4th Annual Conference of the Vietnam Arthroscopy and Joint Replacement Society (VAAS), the Ho Chi Minh City Musculoskeletal Endoscopy Society (HAS), and the Ho Chi Minh City Joint Replacement Association (HAA). With the theme "Better results with advanced techniques", the conference focuses on discussing advances in joint replacement surgery and high-tech endoscopy.

Here, Vinmec affirmed its pioneering position in transferring and developing modern techniques in Vietnam with 15 professional reports, focusing on three prominent groups of topics: Application of personalized 3D printing technology in joint replacement and bone deformity treatment; minimally invasive endoscopic surgery in treating complex joint injuries; and techniques for joint replacement and treatment of post-operative complications. The studies not only focused on optimizing treatment effectiveness but also integrated high technology into rehabilitation, preserving mobility for patients.

A special highlight of the conference was that there were 6 reports presented by resident physicians from VinUni University out of a total of 15 reports from Vinmec. This clearly reflects the orientation of Vinmec and VinUni in building a generation of young doctors who are not only good at their profession but also have a strong research mindset and international integration, especially resident physicians.

According to Prof. Dr. Tran Trung Dung - Director of the Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine - Vinmec Times City International General Hospital, the conference plays an important role as a bridge for domestic and foreign research groups to share research ideas, develop joint research projects, thereby improving the quality of treatment and rehabilitation for patients, contributing to raising the level of Vietnamese healthcare. At the same time, the conference is also a valuable learning opportunity for the generation of young doctors participating in international academics, including practicing doctors and residents in training.
