Ghana, one of the world's top 10 rubber exporters, has announced a new policy to stop exporting raw rubber in a bid to protect the domestic processing industry and ensure jobs. The Association of Natural Rubber Producers and Processors of Ghana (ANRAG) has warned that the recent surge in raw material exports is threatening the stability of the industry, despite Ghana being fully capable of processing its entire output of around 178,420 tonnes per year.

The export restrictions are part of the “Feed the Industry” programme, which aims to end the export of raw materials and ensure value addition and jobs are created within Ghana.

The latest price quote of Phu Rieng Rubber Company fluctuates at 390 VND/DRC for mixed latex and 420 VND/TSC for water latex.

At Binh Long company, the price of this item at the factory is 422 VND/TSC, at the production team it is 412 VND/TSC; and the price of 60% DRC mixed latex is 14,000 VND/kg.
