Extended construction of Chua Cau restoration for another 180 days

The extension is to complete the remaining work and volume of the project as requested by the Department of Construction and Hoi An City People's Committee.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Hoi An City People's Committee to base on the construction contract signed with the contractor to inspect and determine the causes affecting the contract progress and impose penalties if due to the contractor's subjective reasons.

At the same time, calculate and make a detailed plan for the implementation progress of the work contents and remaining volume and urge the contractor to speed up the completion of the project to ensure quality and on schedule as extended for acceptance and handover of the project for use.

The project to restore the Chua Cau relic has a total investment of more than 20.2 billion VND; of which the provincial budget supports 50% and the Hoi An city budget allocates 50%.

Previously, the Provincial People's Committee also decided to adjust the project implementation period to 2021 - 2024 instead of 2021 - 2023 as approved in Decision No. 153 in 2022.
