Today's live pig price in the North has not fluctuated much compared to the previous day. The common price in the region ranges from 67,000 - 69,000 VND/kg, with some localities such as Hung Yen, Thai Binh and Hanoi recording the highest price of 69,000 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, provinces such as Yen Bai, Lao Cai and Nam Dinh kept prices lower, around 67,000 VND/kg. The market is generally still in a state of balance, with no signs of strong growth like in the Central or Southern regions.
In contrast to the stability in the North, the pig market in the Central Highlands - Central region has had mixed developments in some provinces and cities.
The price of live pigs in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan remained unchanged from VND 67,000/kg to VND 71,000/kg.
However, it is noteworthy that Binh Dinh and Khanh Hoa both recorded an increase of VND 1,000/kg, up to VND 69,000/kg and VND 68,000/kg, respectively.
Pig prices in the South are mostly stable. Pig prices in provinces such as Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Long An, Dong Thap, Vinh Long, Can Tho, Kien Giang, Hau Giang, Ca Mau, Tien Giang, Bac Lieu, Tra Vinh, Ben Tre and Soc Trang have not recorded any fluctuations, fluctuating around 70,000 - 73,000 VND/kg. Of which, Ca Mau currently records the highest price of 73,000 VND/kg.
In contrast, the price of live pigs in Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong and An Giang increased slightly by VND 1,000/kg, all recorded at VND 71,000/kg.
In general, the live hog market nationwide on April 10 showed a stable trend in all three regions. However, the Central and Southern regions still recorded local fluctuations with some localities having slight increases, showing that the market still has its own developments in each region.
