Northern region

The price of live pigs today (January 6, 2025) in the Northern region recorded stability in the first session of the week. Currently, the price of live pigs in this region is fluctuating between 67,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.

Of which, Hanoi and Bac Giang continue to maintain the highest live pig price in the country at 69,000 VND/kg. Ninh Binh has the lowest live pig price in the region at 67,000 VND/kg. The remaining localities in the region are trading live pig prices at 68,000 VND/kg.

Central Highlands region

Similarly, the price of live pigs today (January 6, 2025) in the Central Highlands region recorded no price adjustment in the provinces. Currently, the price of live pigs in the Central Highlands region fluctuates between 66,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.

In particular, Lam Dong province still maintains the highest price of live pigs in the region at 69,000 VND/kg. Next, Thanh Hoa, Binh Thuan , and Dak Lak provinces have the same purchase price of 68,000 VND/kg. The remaining provinces have live pig prices ranging from 65,000 - 67,000 VND/kg.

Southern region

In contrast to the above two regions, the price of live pigs in the Southern region today (January 6, 2025) continued to record an increase in prices, with Long An and Dong Thap provinces both increasing by VND 1,000/kg, bringing the price of pigs to VND 68,000/kg.

Currently, the price of live pigs in the Southern region is fluctuating between 66,000 and 69,000 VND/kg. Of which, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh provinces have the highest price of live pigs in the region, both reaching 69,000 VND/kg. The remaining provinces fluctuate between 66,000 and 68,000 VND/kg.

In general, the live hog market today has slowed down in the North and Central regions, while the South has seen a slight increase in prices in some provinces and cities. Surveys show that live hogs nationwide are being traded at around 66,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.
