Rice price today June 7: Fresh rice tends to decrease

Rice prices today, June 7, 2025, in the Mekong Delta region fluctuated little. The market volume is small, rice of all kinds is relatively stable, fresh rice tends to decrease due to the price of many types of exported rice decreasing in the middle of the week.

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current price of OM 5451 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 6,200 - 6,400 VND/kg; the price of IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 5,400 - 5,600 VND; the price of OM 380 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 5,200 - 5,400 VND/kg; the price of Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 6,800 VND/kg; the price of OM 18 rice (fresh) fluctuates between 6,800 VND/kg; the price of Nang Hoa 9 rice fluctuates between 6,650 - 6,750 VND/kg.

In many localities today, dry rice is traded slowly, prices are stable, farmers are selling Summer-Autumn rice better, prices tend to decrease. In An Giang , many areas farmers are selling Summer-Autumn rice, buying and selling is slow, prices fluctuate little.

In Kien Giang, the summer-autumn rice harvest is slow, traders are buying less, rice prices are stable. In Dong Thap, traders are buying slowly, prices are fluctuating little. In Can Tho , traders are buying less, transactions are slow, prices are relatively stable.

Similar to rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, currently OM 380 raw rice increased by 50 VND/kg, fluctuating at 7,850 - 8,000 VND/kg; CL 555 raw rice fluctuated at 8,300 - 8,400 VND/kg; IR 504 raw rice fluctuated at 7,900 - 8,000; 5451 raw rice fluctuated at 9,450 - 9,550 VND/kg; OM 18 raw rice fluctuated at 10,200 - 10,400 VND/kg; OM 380 finished rice fluctuated at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice fluctuated at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

As for by-products, the prices of by-products fluctuate from 7,400 - 10,000 VND/kg. Currently, OM 504 broken rice fluctuates at 7,400 - 7,600 VND/kg; the price of bran fluctuates at 9,000 - 10,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Recorded in localities today, the supply of 50404, OM 380 varieties is low, transactions are sporadic, prices are stable, while other types of rice are stable in price. In An Giang, the volume is sporadic, transactions are still slow, rice prices are stable. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the volume is sporadic, all types of rice are stable. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), the buying and selling transactions are slow, raw rice of all types fluctuates little.

Sa Dec market channel (Dong Thap), in small quantity, the market warehouse buys regularly, the price of all types of rice is relatively stable. In An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), in small quantity, the price of new fragrant rice has increased slightly, the buying and selling transactions are slow.

At retail markets, the prices of all types of rice remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND14,000 - 15,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND16,000 - 18,000/kg; common white rice fluctuates at VND16,000/kg; Soc rice often fluctuates at VND16,000 - 17,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000 - 22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice 22,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice 21,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 20,000/kg; Thai Soc rice 20,000/kg; Japanese rice 22,000/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained unchanged compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 393 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 364 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 321 USD/ton.
