According to preliminary statistics of the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), in the first 5 months of 2025, Vietnam exported 100,693 tons of pepper of all kinds, of which black pepper reached 86,241 tons and white pepper reached 14,452 tons. Total export turnover reached 693.0 million USD, black pepper reached 577.4 million USD, white pepper reached 115.6 million USD. Compared to the same period in 2024, export volume decreased by 12%, but export turnover increased by 40.5%.

Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC) at 4:30 a.m. on June 8, 2025 as follows: the pepper market is sideways and stable compared to the previous trading session.
Specifically, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,437 USD/ton; similarly, Muntok white pepper is currently purchased at 10,142 USD/ton.
The Malaysian pepper market continues to remain stable, currently the price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper is purchased at 9,150 USD/ton and the price of ASTA white pepper is at 11,850 USD/ton.
Pepper prices in Brazil tend to move sideways, with little fluctuation compared to the previous trading session. Currently, the purchase price is at 6,150 USD/ton.
Vietnam's pepper export market has stabilized and is currently flat. Vietnam's black pepper export price is currently at 6,300 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l at 6,400 USD/ton and white pepper is at 9,300 USD/ton.

The US remains the largest pepper consumer market, but exports to this market have dropped sharply by 24.4% year-on-year to 23,024 tons, accounting for 22.9% of the market share. In May alone, pepper exports to the US reached 6,342 tons, down 1% from the previous month.
