Consumer price index in May increased by 0.16%

The consumer price index (CPI) in the province in May 2025 increased by 0.16% compared to the previous month, of which the consumer price index in urban areas increased by 0.3% and in rural areas by 0.02%. Of the 11 main groups of consumer goods and services, 6 groups had price indexes that increased, 3 groups decreased and 2 groups remained stable.

The groups of goods and services with price indexes increasing in May include: food and catering services, beverages, housing and construction materials, etc. On the contrary, the transportation group had the sharpest price index decrease due to the price of gasoline and oil in the past month decreasing in comparison to the previous month.
