At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Tien Viet, Deputy General Director in charge of the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), stated that preparations for the technical and official flights to Long Thanh Airport have been largely completed. Infrastructure and ground equipment have been fully installed to serve the arrival of these flights.
ACV, in coordination with relevant units, is urgently completing the internal port transportation routes and planting flowers and trees to create a beautiful landscape in preparation for the official welcoming ceremony of the first flight to Long Thanh Airport on December 19, 2025.

According to the plan, on December 19, 2025, three aircraft from three airlines will land at Long Thanh Airport.
Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh commended the responsible work ethic of the ministries, departments, Dong Nai province, project investors, contractors, engineers, and workers.

According to the Prime Minister, eight main components of the Long Thanh Airport Project have been basically completed to date, including: the passenger terminal, air traffic control tower, runway 1, power system, water supply system, communications system, fuel storage system, and airport access roads.
"In particular, the passenger terminal, the 'heart' of the project, and the air traffic control tower, the 'brain' of flight operations, have been basically completed so that aircraft can take off and land at Long Thanh Airport," Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said.

Emphasizing that there is not much time left until December 19, 2025, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested that relevant units mobilize maximum resources, work in "three shifts, four teams," and "work day and night" to complete the tasks serving the ceremony for the first official flight to Long Thanh Airport. This is an immediate task that needs to be completed. Military Region 7, in coordination with ACV, will deploy military forces to support the construction of items to ensure service for the technical flight and the official flight to Long Thanh Airport.

In the long term, ACV and the investors and contractors will continue to complete the project's components to put it into operation in early 2026. At the same time, ministries, sectors, and Dong Nai province will immediately implement the contents of Notice No. 420-TB/VPTW dated November 17, 2025, from the Central Party Office regarding the conclusions of General Secretary To Lam at the working session on the Long Thanh Airport Project, and the conclusions of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Construction. Specifically, Dong Nai province will coordinate with Ho Chi Minh City to accelerate the progress of transportation connection projects between Long Thanh Airport and Ho Chi Minh City, Tan Son Nhat Airport, especially the project to extend the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line to the Dong Nai Provincial Administrative Center and Long Thanh Airport.
"We must immediately implement measures to transform Long Thanh Airport from simply an airport into a center of the aviation ecosystem, airport economy, and airport city," Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized.

Earlier, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh inspected the progress of construction of the apron, passenger terminal, and air traffic control tower at Long Thanh Airport. At each inspection point, the Prime Minister met with and presented gifts to encourage the construction forces involved in the project.
