This is a huge source of moral support for the players and coaching staff of both teams in their journey to conquer the highest goal at the 33rd SEA Games.
To promptly boost the morale of the teams, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan was present in Thailand and personally attended the match of the Vietnamese women's national team, in the context that the U22 Vietnamese team was also playing at the same time.
Speaking after the match, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan said that today was a very special day as both the men's and women's national teams played at the same time. However, it was joyful and happy that both teams successfully achieved their goals from the group stage.
Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan highly appreciated the efforts of both teams in overcoming difficulties and pressure to secure victories in crucial matches. The fact that both teams led 2-0 in the first half and took the top spot in the group is a very important factor for the subsequent calculations in the semi-final match.
However, with very important matches ahead, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan noted that the Vietnamese national football teams need to continue to focus on preparation and perform well in order to gradually realize their goals.
The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) awarded 1.3 billion VND to the two national teams.
To promptly commend the achievements of the two teams, the Standing Committee of the VFF Executive Board decided to award 700 million VND to the women's team and 600 million VND to the U22 team for reaching the semi-finals of the SEA Games 33.
