The price of SJC gold was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) at 83.5 million VND/tael for buying - 85.0 million VND/tael for selling, down 500,000 VND/tael in both directions. The difference between the buying price and the selling price is 1.5 million VND.
DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold today at 83.5 million VND/tael for buying and 85.0 million VND/tael for selling – down 500,000 VND/tael for buying and selling compared to yesterday. The difference between the buying and selling prices is 1.5 million VND.
At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 84.4-85 million VND/tael for buying and selling. Compared to yesterday, the buying price decreased by 400,000 VND/tael, the selling price decreased by 500,000 VND/tael compared to yesterday.

World gold price today January 7, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,636.57 USD/ounce. Today's gold price is unchanged compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,703 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 81.7 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 3.3 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

World gold prices fell today due to rising US Treasury yields, while the Federal Reserve's recent hint of a slower pace of interest rate cuts through 2025 has investors eagerly awaiting a slew of economic data due this week to shed further light on that view.
Spot gold fell 0.2% to $2,634.52 an ounce at 2:27 a.m. ET (1927 GMT). U.S. gold futures fell 0.3% to $2,647.40.
“Bond yields are rising again, putting pressure on gold,” said Nitesh Shah, commodity strategist at WisdomTree. The yield on the 10-year US Treasury note rose to its highest level in more than eight months, making non-yielding gold less attractive.
“We expect prices to reach $3,050/oz by year-end based on the ‘consensus’ economic view of a depreciating dollar and falling bond yields. Further escalation of tensions in the Middle East could add downside risks to our forecast,” Shah said.
The Fed's latest forecasts in December hinted at a shift to a more cautious pace of rate cuts this year, as most policymakers expressed concern that inflation could flare up again.
The central bank may need to keep interest rates high for longer to address persistent inflation, which remains above its 2% target. U.S. President-elect Donald Trump takes office on January 20, and his proposed tariffs and protectionist policies are expected to fuel inflation.
“There is speculation that Trump will lift the tariffs… If (commodity) prices go up, inflation will stay high for longer,” said Phillip Streible, chief market strategist at Blue Line Futures.
Gold fell despite a 1% drop in the dollar index (.DXY), off a more than two-year high hit on Thursday. Market participants are now looking ahead to Friday's U.S. jobs report, which could shed light on the Fed's upcoming policy path.
Investors are also awaiting Tuesday's jobs data, ADP employment figures and minutes from the Fed's most recent policy meeting on Wednesday.
Spot silver rose 1.1% to $29.93 an ounce, platinum fell 0.8% to $930.41 and palladium fell 0.4% to $918.25.
