World gold price today increased again
At around 6:00 a.m. on May 10, the world gold price today was trading at 2,035 USD/ounce, up 15 USD compared to the same time the previous day at 2,020 USD/ounce.
Analysts said gold prices rose today after the discussion on raising or delaying the debt ceiling between US President Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy did not make clear progress.
In response to this information, financial investors increased their demand for holding precious metals to hedge against risks, creating momentum for today's gold price to increase.
On the other hand, the US Federal Reserve (FED) has just announced the survey results showing that bankers have cut back and restricted lending. This will help the US to reduce inflation, but in return, the US stock market last night reacted negatively.
The slight red in Wall Street indices has prompted many people to invest in gold. The world gold price today has more conditions to go up.
In Vietnam, from 9:00 to 17:00 on May 9, the world gold price fluctuated very little and domestic purchasing power was weak, so the SJC gold price decreased by 50,000 VND/tael, closing at 67.1 million VND/tael at the end of the day.
