World gold price today May 30, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 am today, Vietnam time, was at 3,316.27 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 0.65% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (26,263 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 105 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is about 13 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices rose in a volatile session, supported by weaker-than-expected jobs data, as investors digested a US court ruling blocking most of President Donald Trump's tariffs, Reuters reported.
New data showed the number of Americans filing for unemployment benefits for the first time last week rose more than expected.
“Gold is rallying on the back of a surge in jobless claims, which could be a sign of a weakening labor market that could prompt the Fed to cut rates faster,” said Tai Wong, an independent metals trader.
Minutes from the Federal Reserve’s May 6-7 meeting showed that Fed officials acknowledged they may face difficult choices in the coming period, amid rising inflationary pressures and rising unemployment. The Fed’s internal forecasts also reinforced the possibility that the US economy faces a higher risk of recession.
Gold has always been considered a safe haven in times of uncertainty and inflation, and often performs well in low interest rate environments, as it does not generate yield.
Markets are now turning their attention to the US personal consumption expenditure (PCE) index data due on Friday, which is the Fed's preferred inflation gauge and will be closely watched by investors for clues on the next direction of US monetary policy.
“Equally impressive was the strong recovery in gold overnight, as the market seemed to believe that Trump would eventually win the legal battle with the trade court,” Mr. Wong added.
In other precious metals, spot silver rose 0.9% to $33.28 an ounce, platinum rose 1% to $1,085.59, while palladium rose 0.6% to $968.43 an ounce.
